Title: Anatomical keypoints to deepplane facelift

Abstract

Facial aging involve all facial subunits in different grade and timeline. The importance of the facial ligaments by releasing them is one of the basic anatomical keypoints in facelfit surgery. Precise anatomical knowledge of the SMAS and the understanding why superficial plication rhytidectomy techniques fail explains why the deepplane faclift technique works. The dynamic in different facelift techniques can be changed by different anatomical lifting points and dissected areas. The different areas of the facial layers are determined by adhesions and gliding planes. The definitions oft he anatomical SMAS segments can be helpful.
